Jaipur is known for forts, palaces and havelis, many of which are used for weddings. Before you book a heritage venue, here is what to think about.
Heritage venue types
You will find palace hotels, restored havelis and large garden properties. Each has a different look, capacity and set of rules.
Check the rules
Heritage properties may have restrictions on music timings, fireworks, decor and even photography or drone use. Ask in advance.
Think about photography
Courtyards, arches and colourful walls give lovely backgrounds, but lighting inside old buildings can be tricky. Ask your photographer to visit the venue beforehand.
Plan guest logistics
Check parking, access for elders and nearby accommodation, as some heritage locations have limited facilities.
Book early
Popular venues often take bookings a year or more ahead, so start your search as soon as your dates are set.
