A beach wedding in Goa can look beautiful in photos, but sun, sand and wind create challenges. A little planning helps a lot.
Plan around the light
Midday sun is harsh and creates strong shadows. The soft light just after sunrise and before sunset is far more flattering, so schedule key portraits then.
Choose outfits wisely
Light fabrics move well in the wind, but very long trains can be hard to manage on sand. Practise walking in your outfit and footwear beforehand.
Protect the equipment
Sand, salt air and moisture are tough on cameras. Experienced photographers carry covers and spare gear.
Have a rain and wind plan
Weather can change quickly. Ask your photographer and planner about an indoor backup spot with good light.
Keep it simple
Strong decor can compete with the sea and sky. A simple setup often photographs best.
